Soap Monsters

 Soap monsters are so simple.

Take a bar of soap

 Put it on a paper plate (non waxed plain white ought to be fine in the microwave) or use a paper towel.

 Put it in the microwave. I put it in for 3 minutes full heat, but the time you need is going to depend on the microwave - you will see the effect take place if the microwave has an inner light.

 This is what it did after 2 minutes

 Then after 3.

 It leaves an interesting substance.  You can cut it with a knife.  I cut off the projecting piece turned in on end and made a  snowman.  But you can't 'model it'.  It crumbles if pressed too hard.

The idea is to just snow monster it.  Just cover them in crafty leftovers to make a monster of choice.


I plan to take this to Rangers, perfect for them and Rainbows!
