Christmas Tree Cupcakes

My chocolate village didn't last a week, let alone until Christmas, so I moved onto plan B just before Christmas.

These silicon pots were to be my tree pots.  I lined a couple with chocolate and peeled the pot back to get a chocolate pot.

I baked chocolate cake into the moulds.  I was worried I'd under filled them but the smallest ones dropped into the chocolate pots fine.

and once they were iced they were full enough.

Fondant icing Christmas trees perched tidily inside the pot with a smartie star on top.

















I was rather pleased with the result.
