Wet, Wetter, Wettest

It rained all day, hard and fast, but all of a sudden the sun came out and it being such a rarity it was too great an opportunity to miss.  On went the walking gear.

Oh but how sodden is the ground,  It just can't hold any more water.   Where I live the ground is mostly clay and it is so sticky and slidy.  I took the walking poles to be safe but flippers might have been more appropriate.

The canal, despite the foam from the amount of overflows pouring into it, looked lovely in the sun.  It's been so grey for so long.
I'd forgotten I'd even got a shadow.  Although my legs appear to be much longer than I remembered them to be.

I walked past the largest puddle I have ever seen. This is usually full of children playing rugby or cricket  depending on the season!

The fields may be hard work right now but nothing is going to stop me walking even if it means I have to start swimming them!
The fields are wetter than I have ever seen them, even in winter, so I took some film to show the water running off them.  Please forgive the sighing, I was listening to very loud music through earphones and I had no idea I was doing it!
