A Monk Swimming

A friend's little boy said tonight over dinner "God must be very tiny"
"why"  asked Friend
"because you can't see him "

This reminded me of the time my daughter came home and said "I saw God this morning"  It  took me a while to get to the bottom of it, she'd seen the vicar at school!

I  read once about a little girl who asked her grandma if god had a second name, gran said she didn't know, her little brother said, "of course he does, it's Zilla"

But children do get very confused about things we take for granted.  Lots of children think God is called Harold. Why? "Our Father who art in heaven Harold be thy name"

I know for many years I felt sorry for Round John Virgin.  I thought it was cruel that John Virgin's weight was brought up every Christmas.  It's true.

How many are fooled by A Monk Swimming*
Have a think about it.

But my favourite is "God's name was Peter"
‎"Thanks Peter God"

Let's not forget the ultimate Queen of confusion:

*Hail Mary, full of grace, blessed at thou amongst women
