Mud and Money

>>  Friday, February 14, 2020

I mentioned in my last post about the orange leggings on the King's Road.  In the shop I'd said to HWMBO that I couldn't understand how people did full length trousers because of how dirty and spoilt they'd get.

At least capris mean my lower legs (which have washed well for as many years as I can remember) take a large part of the dirt strain.
And the next day I set out (although not purposely) and proved the point.
The fields were devoid of any mud free path.
My shoes (which I do spend a lot of money on because their quality really matters) disappeared into the ground colour.
But it was worth it.  Not a soul around but me, a heron and a few surprised sheep.
There were ice water occasions to wash some mud off.
  Unavoidable paddles.
 Splashes through puddles.
 The final result.

And that is why I can't have nice things!!!
But the winter tan is going great,  thanks for asking.
