Spectacular Parenting

This week's Gallery theme is 'spectacular'

I'm opting for spectacular parenting.

Cog made it to 16, alive, fairly well rounded and in a much better place (all things teenagery) than I was at that age.


I'm not overly happy about her turning 16.  My baby is no more.  The tax office refused to talk to me and insisted she rang herself, the bank sent forms for her to sign, she is now her own person.

She still requires me to 'do' her hair every morning, generally wait hand and foot on her, whilst costing more and more on every shopping trip.

I feel I have entered the lose-lose stage of parenting.

But I did, however, get her to this stage of the game intact and I call that spectacular!
