During the summer we were in Greece, I'll regale you with details at some point but I thought, for now, I would share with you some wildlife.

The obvious lizard.  On a previous holiday, pre responsibility, I chased one around my room. The lizard was all over the place, I on the other hand having just returned from a shot bar was totally steady.  At least that's how I recall it.  I caught it with a cereal spoon. I have no idea why I had a cereal spoon, I just did ok, and chopped it's tail off.  Tails still jump around even without a body.  So I had a tail and a lizard to catch with only one spoon.  I believe I resolved the problem by passing out.

I rode a donkey up a hot steep hill.  It got it's own back by dragging my leg along a jagged wall.

That turned out to be the prince of darkness. 

The massive cicadas that make such a loud noise at times my ears were ringing.

The ulgy, scaly, clawy thing that was bigger than a cicada.  I was never big in the identifying nature department.

But when I got home I found this dragon fly in our back yard.

It was sitting so still.

I couldn't believe my luck as I got closer and closer to it and it still didn't move.

Yup, it was dead already!
