Pride is the worst of the seven deadly sins. It was Dante's 1st terrace and one of the 3 that relate to 'others'. Pride comes from believing that you are better than others, failing to acknowledge the accomplishments of others, and excessive admiration of the personal self. Humility is the opposite virtue.
Thinking about Pride and Dante lead me to think about Pilgrimage. Pilgrims sometimes go on journeys to holy places because they have committed sin, in the past they were sent on the journeys by a priest as a penance.
Time to reflect.

I also found a poem by a guy called JJ Hare.
Do have a look at the full one. I like the lines

And is not hard to destroy.
I've always been the kind to ruffle feathers
Not the man who bites his tongueI'll fight and die for what I believe
And rise again like the setting sun
This was the sky on my drive home, captured on my phone.
