We are, We can, We do

We've been rebranded!

We were 'Girls in the lead'.  We are now:

 'We Discover, We Grow'

I'm hoping it grows on me. Being the competitive sort I rather liked being in the lead!



'We are, we can, we do' is our new starting point.  So whilst it shouldn't really stand alone, as it means nothing, I have decided to show it as the starting point for going forwards from here. And to remind me of how positive and strong those 6 little words can be.  Look:

• We are Guiding
• We can achieve anything
• We do fun things

See, strong. Want to see it again:

• We are for all girls
• We (can) help girls reach their potential.
• We (do) give girls a voice

Very positive.

To be quite honest, there is nothing new under the sun and you've been reading all that here for a while, but I didn't say it first either!

Sometimes I guess you have to repackage to reshine the content, to reinvigorate the facilitators and generally just give us all a good reminder of the core values and message.

So here you go, here is the brand spanking new official line:

Thanks to the dedication and support of 100,000 amazing volunteers, we are active in every part of the UK, giving girls and young women a space where they can be themselves, have fun, build brilliant friendships, gain valuable life skills and make a positive difference to their lives and their communities. We build girls’ confidence and raise their aspirations. We give them the chance to discover their full potential and encourage them to be a powerful force for good. "

Yup! Nothing new under the sun. I think the Baden-Powell's would recognise that and be proud.
