Loan Shark

I understand that this Loan Shark probably went to jail because of the violent threats etc but it is interesting that the news headlines fixed on the illegal interest rate of 1200%

Now, a tv advert* caught my eye the other day an apr of 2689%. They do explain it away but somehow it all seems not entirely unlike the difference between a street walking prostitute and a Brothel.

*yes, I was watching daytime tv but in my defense I was off ill!!!
